Introduced in 1978 as Style 38, the Vans SK8-HI introduced the now-iconic Vans sidestripe model in a new, innovative high-top silhouette. As the second model to bear the recognizable trademark formerly known as the "jazz stripe," the Sk8-Hi brought a whole new look to the Vans family. Paying homage to the first iconic high-top sneaker, the Sk8-Hi features sturdy suede and canvas uppers in a variety of classic and unexpected colorways. The lace-up shoes also feature re-enforced toe caps, padded collars, and signature rubber waffle outsoles.
