The Old Skool VR3 is a low-top lace-up shoe. It was the first model to feature the iconic sidestripe. In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, its VR3 midsole is made with at least 25% bio-based EVA foam, which is partially derived from plant sources. It features padded collars for comfort and a re-enforced toe cap to protect against wear. The Vans outsole in a signature waffle look ensures perfect grip.
To reduce Vans' overall footprint, our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. Big and small, all of our efforts lead to positive change. VR3 represents our commitment at Vans to source 100 percent of our four highest carbon impact materials (cotton, leather, rubber, and polyester) from regenerative, responsibly sourced, renewable, and/or recycled sources by 2030.
