The Nidecker Supermatic is a groundbreaking innovation in snowboarding: the first universal, dual-entry, automatic binding. While many brands tried to develop the step-in system before, they often failed due to certain challenges. Some required special boots and didn't work well in powder. None achieved the comfort and reliability of a traditional two-strap binding. But we didn't let that discourage us and spent four years developing our own solution that elegantly solves all of these problems. The Supermatic uses our innovative Drop-In-Tech, a triggering hiback. It's as simple as sliding your foot in from behind and pushing down on the heel to automatically lock the binding in place. And the snowboarding adventure can begin! When it's time to step out, an easy-to-use release lever allows for quick and hassle-free release. The straps feature the comfortable AuxTech design already used in our high-quality traditional bindings. Simply adjust once and then secure with the Locking Slap Ratchets to ensure a perfect fit every time. The great thing about this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer and there are no complicated mechanisms prone to clogging. If the slope or snow conditions require it, you can even buckle in as you normally would with a conventional binding.
