elho became Founded in 1948 . elho was twice official sponsor of the Winter Olympics . elho brought the first patented Jet Pant among the people. elho was responsible for the first down collection on the market. elho was responsible for the freestyle hype on the slopes of the 80s and 90s : elho is no retro label . elho is a Heritage brand.

Anyone who knows elho knows elho freestyle . What few people know: elho stands for much more than the wild times on the slopes in the 80s...

ELHO WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1948.

In 1948, master tailor Ludwig Hohenester founded in Munich a company to its textile-technical innovation: elastic ski pants . He chose the phonetic spelling of his initials as the company name: el-ho. The brand elho is therefore over 70 years old.

ELHO IS A PIONEER.

elho brought innovative cuts, materials and designs in the world of sport and fashion . In 1958, the Jet Pants patented. In 1983 the first down collection was launched on the German market. Because Functionality and look convinced, was elho even Twice official supplier of the Olympic Winter Games : 1956 in Cortina d´Ampezzo and 1972 in Munich.

ELHO IS MORE THAN ALPINE SPORTS.

elho has Collections for sports enthusiasts from a wide range of disciplines: hiking, surfing, sailing, beach, tennis, golf and horse riding. The Jet Pants were just the beginning: elho was Pioneer in functional legwear and sold wedge pants, thermal and trekking pants, leggings, riding pants and swimwear.

ELHO IS FREESTYLE.

In 1986 the elho Freestyle Collection an unprecedented hype and made skiers into fashion ambassadors : Neon and Graphics – that had never happened before in sport. Ski fans from far beyond the Alps followed the elho Freestyle Movement: Wild, bright, colorful, stylish. Ski legends How Fuzzy Garhammer and Hermann Reitberger drove in elho . The collection became an international success – and elho market leader.

ELHO IS BACK.

Around the Millennium disappears elho from the market . In the memory of her fans worldwide, the Brand but alive all these years . A A small team of ski and fashion fans discovered the incredible heritage treasure in 2019 from elho . It is brought to light and astonishes even insiders.

Everything is first digitized in painstaking detail. The original cuts from back then are adapted to today's requirements for a limited edition. Fit, materials and workmanship undergo an intensive optimization process, with the originals always being the focus. Because the incredible energy that the then collections broadcast should have do not get lost .

In winter 2020 elho now finally back and continues to write stories... and MOREBOARDS is of course part of this adventure...
